Other U.S. government agencies work with Poland, some with offices in the Embassy and some throughout the country.
There are nearly three million U.S. citizens living abroad who are eligible to vote in U.S. elections, many of whom never resided in the United States.  All states are required to count every absentee ballot as long as it is valid and reaches local election officials by the absentee ballot receipt deadline (which differs by state).  Now is the time to make your voice heard and your vote count.  Next week, on September 28, 2022, the U.S. Embassy’s Consular Section will host American Night at the Hard Rock Cafe Warsaw, from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm, to assist with voter registration, absentee ballot completion, and the mailing of ballots to the United States.
Additionally, the expat community will have an opportunity to learn more about services provided to U.S. citizens, as well as learn more about attractions, events, and things to do while exploring Warsaw from the Warsaw Tourist Office.  Polish citizens can meet with representatives from the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission to discuss opportunities for studying in the United States.  U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Mark Brzezinski, will make remarks there.
We hope to see you there!
Note:  The Hard Rock Cafe is located next to the Złote Tarasy Shopping Mall in Warsaw.
We encourage U.S. citizens who attend at the Hard Rock Cafe and plan to vote to request their voting district’s absentee ballot now, though you can vote even if you do not receive it by the time of the event.  To learn more about voting overseas, go to the Federal Voting Assistance Program’s (FVAP) website, FVAP.gov.  You may also review our previous voting message for guidance here.  If you have any questions about registering to vote overseas, please contact U.S. Embassy Warsaw’s Voting Assistance Officer at +48 22 504 2784, or at [email protected].  U.S. Consulate Krakow can be reached at [email protected].
